This report is based on survey made on 2000 marketers in US, predominantly working in Small Business. A couple of good insights to use for adapting social media offers. Key takeaways : • 65% of marketers have only been involved with social media marketing for a few months or less • The majority of marketers (56%) are using social media for 6 hours or more each week • The top 3 benefits of social media marketing are : generating exposure for the business increasing traffic building new business partnerships • The top 4 social media tools are Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and blogs • 81% of marketers plan on increasing their use of blogs • Social bookmarking, Twitter + Facebook are the networks marketers most want to learn more about • Only 14% of businesses are outsourcing any aspect of their social media marketing
